Today more and more reach out with to connect
Poetry - is once more - for one and all
Now more and more - is what it's at
No longer poetry - for the well educated
Poetry - no longer - for fancy clever words
Poetry - from the hart - yes the very sole of the mind
Now one and all can say - with pride - '' I'm a poet! ''
With out being embarrassed - no shame - say they are poets say so with pride
To live to see in Thanet - my locality - poetry community's
Spring up - many - are flourishing!
Oh to live in such times - of free poetry!

Maybe it is a sign of the times we live in - poetry an indication
More and more people - reaching out - with poetry
During wars - people - soldiers - well known - used poetry - to reaching out
Civilians - war hit home - so they too resorted to poetry - to reach out
Now - a '' new '' , kind of ware - touching one and all

Poetry - of every - man - woman - and child - way of representing - state of mind
Poetry - not just lovey dovey!
