At an event sponsored by the Arlington International Film Festival (Massachusetts), typewriters were set up on tables in a park, and passersby were invited to write poems about their "movie memories."

Revised! (See my comment.)

As Time Goes By

Typewriters, sunshine, movies. Hey! Let's write!
In Arlington, film-poems on display!
What's showing at the drive-in Friday night?

Silver-screen crushes and popcorn delight.
Remember Disney? King Kong and Fay Wray?
Typewriters, sunshine, movies. Hey! Let's write!

We've all had movie laughs ... and movie fright!
Teacher calls "Bueller?" --- Bueller's gone away.
What's showing at the drive-in Friday night?

Some like it hot. Some like Rocky's first fight.
Shakespeare or light-sabers? Have it your way!
Typewriters, sunshine, movies. Hey! Let's write!

Kubrick's monolith, menacing in the light.
Sam, play that song, the one you used to play ...
What's showing at the drive-in Friday night?

Spaghetti westerns! Intergalactic flight!
Sweet pillow talk with Rock and Doris Day!
Typewriters, sunshine, movies. Hey! Let's write!
What's showing at the drive-in Friday night?

Very nice, and successfully revised, it would seem.

I didn't even notice! I know I obsess about those things when I write, but when the poem or the story is good, it seems nobody notices but you ... except for your editor if you're publishing, or your professor, of course. This was a delightful read. I remember them all.
