Caribbean Idyll

Itís hot today
The sun is bright
No clouds to mar itís glory rays

A breeze comes from a distant key
Itís easy zephyrs soft and light
To cool the shade wherein I stay

The palms and sea grape shade away
Hammock tween them pure delight
My resting place this lazy day

Azure seas and surf display
A constant lulling rhythmic sight
rum in a coconut come what may

An enjoyable poem, very nicely written.

I love the descriptive quality of the poem.

Almost like a villanelle. Nice job!
