TOOK ME A WHILE!

It took a while to meet some who looked beyond the front cover,
Took more time to read more than a few pages of me,
Even now I wonder if some of them are just - well just being nice!,
A handful - have read - reading - the book that they have opened,
The opened book - that is - ME

very nice concept of us being a book and an interesting book at that one. this book is unique however, a kind of two way process- we reveal to selected few- to those who are insistent in knowing us....love the poem.

We are writing our own books of our lives as we live each day. I guess not many know the complete book about any one of us. I often can't figure out what my own book is revealing about me. Plus, I sure don't want someone else to know more about my life-book than I do.

I like the idea you presented in your poem. It sure sparked a lot of thought. 🤗
