Susan Hanging Hearts

She was such a strange girl
And she lived inside her box
It did not have a door at all
But it had a thousand locks
She would go to bed so early
To be awake before she slept
Preparing herself for comfort
Such a uniquely odd concept
She hung little heart mobiles
They all dangled in your face
And glistened with the sunlight
Filling love in time and space
I was so sad when she moved
Like the world would not spin
But relationships are fleeting
It is wondrous when they begin

Dave, there’s a lyrical magical quality to this. Almost feels like a fable from long ago.
