I think I have been reading too much kurt vonnegut.

The Man Who Couldn’t Find Anything

There was a man who couldn’t find anything
For him nothing was where it should be
Then one day while out walking
And trying to find his way home
He me met a beautiful girl
She on the other hand could never lose anything
Always surrounded by everything in her life
They decided to have some lunch together
She led them to a café that he would never find
And even though they had only just met
They immediately fell deeply in love
They exchanged phone numbers on little pieces of paper
Then parted to return to their separate homes
His empty with things not found
Hers filled with everything she ever had
After he eventually arrived home
He looked for the paper with her number
But of course couldn’t find it
She, on the other hand, had his number
And decided to ring him
She called for hours on end but there was no answer
Because try as he might
He just couldn’t find his phone

I love this, it is so clever and sweet/sad and true. It also reminds me of story by Sakutaro Hagiwara, called "Cat Town," a man much like yours who loses his way home.

Well done, applause and bookmarked.

Like a comedy of errors, what a sad story. Great poem, though.
