Corners of porches

Corners of porches. Corners of libraries.

Ensconced in yesterday. Sheltered from sun.

Poignancy and trees. Sky shuttered out.

Storage of memories. Old houses best.

Jamaica Plain backyard. Fences and neighbors.

Autumn all year. Even in April.

Some corners hold a special peace. I recall one with lilacs and lilles of the valley. Thanks for helping me remember, Thomas.

Must be the cozy little places with many memories. Like the poem.
