Balance Acts

As the dust settles
For something less
Here is confusion
There is your mess
Walking your feet
Balance in the air
A tightrope walker
Always almost there

Ears are for glasses
Eyes are for brows
What a mind is for
That nobody knows
The world will spin
As your balance acts
It is all that your art
And existence enacts

Spinning as we teeter
This trick we all know
The universe tells us
We’ve nowhere to go
As your balance acts
We forget what we do
And all without a net
But I just caught you

Ashe The PoetBay support member heart!
Very effective writing in short sentences to take us one step at a time through the balancing act of life.
Always a genius at thoughts.
