Slow Learner

My body's moving at a speed which falls far short
Of that of light. My mind is moving slower still.
It hadn't fathomed until now that, though you
Are a thoughtful woman, you have had enough
Of me, and I should pack up all my problems,
Shut my mouth, and move along. Your life,
I think, would take on greater brightness if
I choose to go, and, so, I will. I'll set you free
To flee from me. I'll watch in awe as you move
Off so swiftly as a sudden gale. I can't keep up.
I shouldn't try, as you are done with me
