WHEN DEATH BECAME THE NORM! -WORLD WAR ONE - WARS SINCE!
Strange as it appearsDEATH - The MANY HORRORS!
Of daily life during
THAT WAR!
Became - the norm!
Hard - difficult - NO - impossible - to explain - to talk about it all!
I - we who were there - keep THAT - to our self's!
Me - well long time dead - now!
I am but a ghost - who talks back to those who wish to know - just what - it were Like!
The pity is - no one appears - to of learned a blood sodden 'thing' - from 'our war!'
Not so long after - our war ended - the world were at it again -
My sons and Daughters - were to wear uniforms - carry rifles - kill and be killed!
The total - who died in - my war - ten million military deaths - seven million Civilians died!
Almost certainly more - than is known!
Be bombed - drop bombs - killing oh so many died!
Wars still going on and on!
My war - were suppose - to have ended all wars!
My kids - there kids - grand kids - great grand kids - and so on - sent off to wars
All the same!
In 1919 - treatise signed - that lead to 1939 - leads to wars even after - 1945!
Seventy-five - MILLION - combatants - and none combatants - unreliable figure!
The total - WILL NEVER BE KNOWN!
As like all wars of the years since - stems from - from - my war!
Me the ghost of World War one - THE GHOST WRITER
Sees - nothing has changed - I recon - never will!
FOOK IT ALL!!
