reached out   how our birthdays are on the

same day   how she gave

me a beret   how we marched at a

women's march down

town that day   how colin would hardly say boo   how

he was mourning georgeann and their

situation   how

mrs eliot served tea   how profoundly lucky i

was to make such friends   and

keep them   how

friendship extends like rays   each of

us at a center   each reaching

out connecting   lessening degrees of separation   how

the world is very small in

that way   but very large if your friend is two

hours away in traffic
