Room For Rumination

Waiting is something we do
Until things come around
Hoping is just a destination
That we have never found
Wishing is rather magical
A flight of fancy dreaming
Planning takes more effort
A contemplative scheming
Wanting we do effortlessly
An ache down in our being
Needing ends in making do
But is so rarely spirit freeing
Finding room for rumination
Can be extremely distressing
Imagine an alien just arrived
To him we are just depressing

Ooh yes, well done, Friend D. Members of Coo & Co very much enjoyed reading this, for the charming rhymes and highly interesting subject matter. We confess to a great interest in the alien too :>)

Bibek
So true. You've said the truth through fine rhymes.

In the cattle business we call a "room for rumination" a barn.

Rumination... bringing up ideas only half digested for another chew. ...love it!
