The Boat Is Ours - Fyne Spirit!And oh what a boat she is!
Aye hat she is!
With a spirit to match
To match her given name:
Fyne Spirit- so good looking - a true beauty - and in good shape!
Such a beauty - with such character to match!
Built with oak teak mahogany in her structure!
A fine example of five ton Hillyard
Younger than both Lloyd and yours truly!
Fyne gives off a welcoming aura as she sees us
Sees Lloyd and I approaching her port eyes positively widen
A glint in her eyes!
Fyne grinning from bow to stern!
I swear Fyne Spirit is straining with barely restrained excitement and joy!
Now our pride and joy!
On seeing us approaching her!
The three of us can hardly wait to get Fyne off hard standing
Back into Ramsgate Harbor and put to sea thats what we three are striving for!
Fyne Spirit - taken off the hard standing - anti-fowling paint applied
Lifted and very carefully put back into the outer harbor
Engine started up - then taken to her birth - number ten pontoon
In the inner harbor - took on water - Fyne Spirit - wooden built
So leeks expected - nothing major
Over three days and nights - Fyne Spirit - tightening up the wood - all is grand - All going is well!
Soon very soon me and Lloyd will taking our pride and joy that is Fyne Pride out
Out for her sea trials - we are three happy spirits!
