The fourth prelude of Book II is a rather magical piece; members of Coo & Co bring their own interpretation :>)

The rhythm is COO-co-co. We hear a rap with a pipes-of-peace chorus :>o

Fairies are exquisite dancers

Pain came to live with her when she was young
twisting its way through heart, liver, and lung
raiding each bike, every rope-ladder rung
but the good fairies came too…

Human–bird hybrids, they twirled in their dance
playing their pipes of peace, soothing to trance
rainbow robed, hippy haired, smiley of stance
yes, the good fairies came too…

Hospital visits throughout her teen years
anxious appointments and fears upon fears
ward weeks and surgeries, fighting through tears
but the good fairies came too…

Human–bird hybrids, they twirled in their dance
playing their pipes of peace, soothing to trance
rainbow robed, hippy haired, smiley of stance
yes, the good fairies came too…

Twenty-two now, living life day by day
thankful for buttered toast, blossom in May
little excursions to Blue Anchor Bay
and the good fairies come too…

Human–bird hybrids, they twirl in their dance
playing their pipes of peace, soothing to trance
rainbow robed, hippy haired, smiley of stance
yes, the good fairies come too…

I'm in awe with the musicality: the Coo-co-co, the dactyls you've consistently used throughout your poem. Well-writ indeed!

The poetry team of Coo & Co does not falter. Their leaf does not wither; their lustre suffers no tarnish.

My favourite moment in this poem is what might be termed the "homely" gratitude of "thankful for buttered toast." But to single this moment out is not to diminish the others.

Beautifully articulated and supremely well done.
