Yesterday's Cambridge Reading

She was clever, I suppose, in the weakly amusing way of all wacky hipsters, dropping f-bombs and anecdotes about New York and sex. But I found myself liking her Boston accent, which decades of living elsewhere didn't eradicate. And I liked that I couldn't tell where her "asides" about a poem stopped and the poem itself began. An hour well spent? Worse ways to squander sixty notches on the clock.

Interesting reportage with a touch of ennui I think

Ha-ha. Every reading I've been to resonates deeply with this poem. At the end, it all comes down to "worse ways to squander" the time.
