this poem is about what could happen if we don't try to treat everyone as friends instead of enemies. Also this poem will lead into other world poems.

shanty town Otherworld Part 1

I wonder what the day will bring,
Of falling bombs and other things.
As I wander through my shanty town,
Why is there no one else around?

I look to you not friend just foe,
Tell me why do you hate me so?.
Aside from colour religion too,
Am I not the same as you.

Barren lands no crops to grow,
Why does my god forsake me so.
Alas this was a stifled cry,
The bombs been dropped.
No ones alive.

The world we know,
Just gently weeps,
Closes eyes goes to sleep,
Wakes up, Then wonders:

What the days will bring.
No more bombs.
No more children,
No more other things.

Hans Bump
I appreciate that you invite us along with you to see the despair and feel your emotions and thoughts. I also like the back and forth rhythm that never let the reader feel settled.
Thank you for this poem
