Sadness for Ann Wood

Sadness kills me sometimes.
Sadness is my faithful companion in life.
I'm often sad, even though I'm smiling.
Sadness slowly creeps into my sleep and wraps me in its embrace.

Sadness is something we all fight, or most of us, as our life experiences accumulate. Your approach, letting sadness embrace you, has a warmth to it, a positive side to sadness.

I love all three of your poems you posted. You want the best for the world, your kindness . . . is it like an embrace itself.
