Break Away

I can't express the words to say
The pain I felt on this Tuesday
Summer was here, thought all was at peace
The connection we had, for some reason ceased

You were the one, my friend and my rock
I held the key to your heart to unlock
Time was my foe, it covered my plans
You held my heart within your hands

Now here I stand, a choice to make
To love you forever or burn at the stake
Decisions made; my fate now sealed
Your true colors now revealed
