Abuse in living color!

As the Rainbow Melts

Purple the color of a bruise

Black the color of abuse

White the color of the lies

Brown the color of empty eyes

Green the color of garish greed

Red the color of an open bleed

Pink the color of her once white shirt

Gray the color of her inner-hurt

Yellow the color up his back

Blue the color of a body attacked

Orange the color of anger's face

Absent of color as she leaves this place.

I just wrote a comment for Haseen saying that you need to live through the storm to see the rainbow, I just could not help writing the same to you... this is very sad and very deep... just wish sometimes there was no such thing such as pain (physically and mentally)... really loved this poem Kathy...

night soul woman The PoetBay support member heart!
each tear
a diamond
in the prism of light

Each rainbow
a promise to myself
never again

Each colour
guarded by
an angel

All the colours of the rainbow
my guardian angels

a rose emerge
In a pool of diamond tears

Golden light
of the undying hope

Haunts the darkness.
Enduring the pain

in silence;
Like a brave soldier.

During the battle
of good and evil

I flew away
With my broken wings

Through the mist
I saw the eternal flame

burning for me
burning for my future
burning for the love

that I deserve
and never got

the suffering
the pain
the fear

happened for a purpose
for me to see
the light through the darkness

My diamond tears
showed me the colours
of the rainbow

My guardian angels
gave me the strength
to fly with my broken wings

and find my bright future
ashes to ashes
dust to dust

My past
My bruises
My suffering

N E V E R AGAIN! ENOUGH IT'S ENOUGH! NO MORE TEARS! NO MORE BRUISES!NO MORE PAIN!

He is lost in the dark sea of oblivion. ...

I am free now. ...
I was always free in my mind. ...

Thank you for the inspiration Kathy :) I dedicate this poem/comment to you my friend :)

This is brilliant! A tragic tale told in panoramic, technicolor. I can see the rainbow pooled at the doorstep with those colors swirled together like a pinwheel. Her un-calling card.
