Abandoned Autumn

Summer breeze are letting go.
Autumn leaves are falling slow.
Separation at it's hardest time.
Abandoned feelings - ugly crime.

Sea's roaring autumn lullabies.
Trying to drown the human cries.
We're up for a hugh surprise.
From now on it's all goodbys.

I'm letting go of you my dear.
Trying to face my fiery fear.
Like the autumn sea you drown my cries,
with a heart of stone and a bunch of lies.

Cut all ties, cut my veins.
Now it starts, the labour pains.
A brand new start, a clean slate page.
Let the rage out of it's cage.

Now warmth has gone, it's chillin' cold.
I lost my youth, I'm getting old.
All these endings tear me apart.
I have no strength for a brand new start.

I love the relation between autumn and abandonment that you've brought out so well here... To me, autumn is a period heralding peace and rest... winter is rest time, when everything slows down, everything goes abed.
Beautiful images.. very vivid.

To some, autumn is a death, and in that view, this poem is a great comparison with the dying of a relationship. Well written. You will find the strength. I did. You will be in a daze throughout fall, perhaps suffer and die a little more in winter, but the spring will bring hope for new life! You are just traveling on your journey. You will make it! I did! The pain in this piece is obvious, it takes a lot of courage and talent to write a piece in this manner.
