silence

the world is moving along without us
and i can't go that way, so fast it goes...
shush... i can't hear the beat, the tempo
it leads me, where is it? where is it?
while we whisper words of nothingness
i wonder this... shush... i can't hear...

Of my heart and benumbed tongue,
The only sound is the air pumping

And even that is too much...
