Waves

Sunrays dance on the sea,
They play with green waves.
All shortly to be
Laid to rest in their graves.

Because each wave must reach,
No matter how stout,
The edge of some beach
Where its life must run out.

But when that kiss of yours
Tears open the sky,
I'll walk upon shores
Where the waves never die.
