This is a poem I just wrote.
It's about life and those days when it's working correctly
instead of needing new batteries :)
I'm not sure how well the rhytm works,
but I hope it does ruin the impression to much.

But this is different, this is new

At the coffee shop he sits today
like every day before
He always falls asleep somehow,
he always seems to snore
But this is different, this is new,
today he's wide awake
and drinks a cup of coffee
and draws a piece of cake

At the subway she sits today,
a child outside and in
She watches as the town pass by
and sorrowness begin
But this is different, this is new,
a smile is on her face,
she seems to quite enjoy the view,
this day she will embrace

He doesn't fall asleep today,
she doesn't feel so sad
The world is somehow happy
and it really ain't that bad
He makes his drawing full of life,
she watches the town a while
This is the way the world should be,
a way to share a smile

At the bookstore he sits today
while turning page by page
He does this very often,
out of duty, out of rage
But this is different, this is new,
he trully does enjoy
the fairytale in front of him,
it makes him quite the boy

At the school she sits today,
the class a boring mess
And was this any other day,
she'd feel angry, she'll confess
But this is different, this is new,
it's like when just a child
and school a great adventure
that let your mind run wild

He reads a book for fun today,
she likes the school a lot
The world is somehow interesting
and that is what we've got
He reads in joy, she listens well,
both school and books are great
This is the way the world should be,
I hope that's not to late

The world is being how it should
and life is great, but still
I hope tomorrow is the same,
I hope tomorrow will
