I don't get it

I often sit and wonder
Why the good Lord made such a race
If he saw everything that was happening to African Americans why couldn't he help?
I don't get how he let so many people get hurt
Through slavery, the holocaust, and everyday life
Do we deserve to be treated badly?
Or is it a lesson that tells you that everyone's equal?
I sit here and think why doesn't life make sense?
Some people can't even be near each other because of difference
What makes someone think they're better then others?
Is it because they have more money and stuff?
The truth is everyone is the same just has unique abilities
So why do some people think that they're better I don't get it

People are different in many ways, physical, emotional, mental, sociological, cultural and on and on. However, in value, all human beings are equal. This is where we get mixed up some times. We mistake differences in talent and abilities for differences in value. Helpless infants, Helpless elderly persons have the same value as the worlds most intelligent, wealthiest, most talented humans. All the differences in the world mean nothing when it comes to the value of a human being.

i love the sentiment of this piece...some people refuse to see that the pattern and texture is so much more beautiful with multi colored threads then a garment of monochromatic shades....it is the dark and the lights combined that give depth and appeal to the eye and heart.
