When a person is hit by lighting that person may be marked by the moments of the strike with what is sometimes called lightning-figures . As I take a special interest in this phenomenon I felt compelled to write about it and had to add a fourth line .

a rule-bending contribution to Sabrina's rhyme-challenge

The theory of suspended animation
does not give its victim eternal salvation
as emotions are trapped and will cause a starvation

(when time is trapped too caused by traumatisation)

As the blinding lightning touched ground
the image of a man was preserved without sound
mouth open between branches he was violently bound

(to exist as an imprint never to be found)

Look closer on another mans back and you'll see
the outlines of branches , on his chest a whole tree
and his arm holds a blackbird who never could flee

(when startled by the sudden blast of electricity)

The shadowgraphic images from the day that had been
the day that he lost everything he could possibly win
that moment was now forever cast upon his skin

(his soul lost in an imprint of what he last had seen)

Wow, I love this!!
Forget about the rules, if you bend 'em like this the result is apparently just as good if not even better!

Great work! :)

You take my breath away darling Daughters. I feel suspended, entrapped in this electrifying bolt of genius. You are on fire! xx
