your taste it makes me shiver
you may not be good for my teeth
yet a sense of well-being you're able to deliver
Sour, sweet, sugary and creamy
you come in many forms, colors and shapes
you are an eatable, oh so dreamy
Tiny bears, horses, men and even snakes
There's one of you for everyone
No matter how picky one could be
To shove you in the mouth is very fun
then chew you up into history
The feeling of a sugar thrill
It makes me long for more
I can barely keep still
Mom, please drive me to the candy store!
