Oh how my mind used to fear unreasonable things when i was little....

Watch out for the boogie man!

"What is under the bed?" Some ask
To go look is another task
Some say there are evil things there
To give all the little kids scare
What is truly under the bed
That makes everyone fill with dread
Is it something from outer space
Or from some other scary place
Is the noise I hear really there
Or made of nothing but thin air
Is it all made up in my head
What is laying under my bed
Do I have strength to look under
And not have it be a fatal blunder
I take a look so I can see
What it is that's bothering me
There it is ugly and scary
But it didn't move or tarry
I looked closer, what was that thing
What kind of terror can it bring
It was green, nasty, and smelled bad
I was about to call my dad
When I realized that it was a snack
That must have dropped out my lunch sack
Now its unrecognizable
And the mold was quite sizable
I laughed realizing what I feared
was just a sandwich with moldy beard
So when you wake up late at night
Hear a noise and are filled with fright
Remember it may be lunch
That has sat there and aged a bunch
