A MOTHERS FEAR.

Children in the playground
Children in the park
Never leave a child alone
To wander in the dark.

The world is full of demons
Some real some make believe
That wear the cloak of decency
Like a weapon to deceive

Predators that stalk the land
Their hearts and souls defiled
To destroy the face of innocence
Of one that is a child.

yeah its a crazy world alright... but statistically speaking its proven kids are hurt far more often by those that are known and close to us... a real ulcer-causing nightmare to have to consider such things when it comes to our kids... well, you got that feeling of fear across... not sure about the use of the word defiled though... predators are the ones who defile usually... so im not sure its the correct word to use... mind you, i may be wrong too but that sticks out a bit for me... thanks for sharing :f

later... xx

Wow! This is a wonderful poem. You have perfectly understood a mother's carefulness to her children. But unfortunately children have to face the world of demons to become mature with the passage of time. They sacrifice innocence for maturity.

Anyway, I thank you for letting me think on this theme again.
