I believed you

I loved you
And you said you loved me to
We went on life having a great time
To me love was never a crime
But then you told me that you've never loved me
And that you and I were never going to be
I believed you when you said you wanted us together
And us to last forever
Then you told me that you didn't want me
My heart was in your hands and you just let it free
In the wild all alone
This environment was nothing it ever known
Then a little later you told my friend you loved me
But you still told me you didn't and we weren't meant to be
You got my life all confused and caught in my own trap
My mind was ready to snap
All these different things you told me were never true
I believed and it was foolish to believe in someone like you
