Christmas Shoutout ~For KJC~
Christmas ShoutoutFor many years I've wished for holiday cheer
A time with family and friends; a time without fear
In my need for love, I've fallen on hard times
Short on money; nickels and dimes
Is this a reason to just fall apart
From Christmas spirit that lies in my heart
Its not a present or financial affair
But the hope that family will always be there
The warm feeling of getting to see
A child have their first Christmas tree
A place of comfort away from the storm
A log lit fire to keep them safe and warm
A warm feeling that can't be beat
As they dream of Santa beneath their sheet
In the end I guess this year wasn't bad
In spite of it all I'm really quite glad
I know in my heart they have no place to roam
They have a safe haven, my very own home
