winter horrors

disfigured emotions
and helpless sex

just leaves me pensive;
restless.

the sky is blank again.
i blink as the world lurches,
sick with snow.

i feign compassion
as the whiteness
spreads
my mouth twists
into a barren
smile.

my eyes are nervous storm-clouds
settling, unsure
my gaze drifts silently

fixed obsessively
on the twisted labyrinth
of this mute
hell

Exquisite, dark write. I really like the line "my eyes are nervous storm-clouds settling, unsure my gaze drifts silently..."

my my...your world seems depressing and beautiful. such a storm you are weathering...for poetry's sake, i do hope you continue to persevere...well done.
