Rain On My Sunshine

As I walk down the crowded sidewalk,
In a little yellow sundress,
Soaking up the sun,
You walked into my life,
And got rain on my sunshine.
You brought the storm on.
On a day when I swore it was sunny,
I could have sworn I felt raindrops on my cheeks.
You walked into my life,
Knowing you would bring a storm,
And yet you didn't even bother,
To give me an umbrella.
As I put on my sunglasses,
And pull up my hair,
I tuck my dress under to sit down,
And as I begin to sip my coffee,
I see you walking towards me,
And sware I feel raindrops.
People continue to walk by,
Continuing thier day normally.
My mascara and eyeliner begin to run.
Yes,
I wish it was raining,
So no one could see me crying.

You've written a wonderful scene for a wonderful movie. If it were 40 years ago it would star Audry Hepburn and Gregory Peck. Today it would star YOU! and Johnny Depp! This is amazing!
Love you granddaughter. You are a bright star in this Bay!

Wow, this is really, really good. The imagery is excellent..it kind of reminds me of my poem "Bad day to wear mascara" in a way. Love it!
