I have not been very active in the past 3 weeks. My apologies to you all. Now that my schedule has freed up, I hope to become the regular member I once was. Enjoy this piece, my returning work.

What can I write today?
What hidden thoughts shall I meet?
Shall I compose love and joy?
Or hate and pain?
Write a fair ballad of truth?
Or a sonnet of disdain?
Admire some intangible beauty?
Scorn life's cruel off'rings?
No matter what choice I make
My soul shall sing
For in this work I free my mind
And captivate myself for awhile
Floating in a pool of linguistic and emotional ecstacy
I think you know why today I smile.
