Sunbeams' Trance

sunny days
blanket maze
inside these walls
lie echoing halls
thunder booms
rattling rooms
storms in the mind
sleet's never kind
frozen dreams
icy streams
statues carved
emotionally starved
chiseled soul
gaping hole
shattered trust
all is dust
upon a shelf
lies a wealth
of me

see me dance
in sunbeams' trance

nevermore

I read a story of oppression demons battling with the Life Force for control of God's child. The battle is exhausting. Both sides call for the child to rest; one in deception that would be the end of the child; the other in green patures beside still waters that give everlasting life that begins in the here and now. Choose, child, choose the true rest in your Father's arms.
