Thoughts of a runaway kid

I want to go to America

I want to stand on far off shores and see the sun arise
I need to fulfil all my childhood dreams
I wish to walk in time and space towards horizons of blue skies
No more to partake of others sad requiem.

I hope to immerse my hobo's soul in wells of mystery
A rhapsody orchestral in it's blend
Embellished by a melody of truth and honesty
I long to embrace my magical mystical friends.

I shall explore boulevards of cities great and small
Feel soft warm prairie breezes on my face
My need to soar like eagle midst rocky mountains tall
I wish to Charlotte, my arms embrace.

I want to swing through Dixieland on Arlo's wheels of steel
I want to walk from sea to shining sea
I want to go America the land of hope and dreams
Once there my soul I shall at last set free
Brendan.
