Description of African leaders and their tendency of not accepting responsibility. The students are the citizens while the headmaster is the leader.

It's not my fault

Students: the toilet seats are broken
the roof leaks when it rains
Headmaster:IT'S NOT MY FAULT!

Students: there are no locks to the doors
the floor is crumbling
Headmaster:I SAID IT'S NOT MY FAULT!

I CAME TO THIS SCHOOL
FOUND EVERYTHING IN A MESS
AND NOW YOU WANT TO BLAME ME?

BLAME THE FORMER HEADMASTER
THE PREVIOUS BOARD OF GOVERNORS
THEY...NOT ME...RAN DOWN THIS SCHOOL

Students: but sir...we are suufering
the cooks steal our food
Headmaster:YOUNG MAN...IT'S NOT MY FAULT

Students:there is so much indiscipline
surely sir you can fix that
Headmaster:EM!..ITS NOT MY FAULT

EVERYTHING THAT IS HAPPENING
TOOK ROOT BEFORE I CAME
THEREFORE IT'S NOT MY FAULT!

I enjoyed this Mathew! I like reactionary poetry. I am dealing with a headmistress and it was all her fault! Nice one. Tai

night soul woman The PoetBay support member heart!
Therefore it's not my fault but I will do my best in cooperation with you citizens to make it better.

Many times it's not our fault when something bad happens but what we must think is
- How can I help or contribute to make it better or improve my life that is somehow affected by what is going on?

As Bentham said: The goverment could generally promote the greater hapiness of the greatest number simply by leaving people alone. Individualls are usually the best judges of their own interests. . .

and John Stuart Mill said: Now that we elect representatives, the goverment is more responsive to the desire of the people. It is responsive, however, to the majority of the people to take away the liberty AND I will add power of those who do not share the majority's views. And in this case I see that the leader don't share the majority's views or try to improve the greater hapiness so he (the leader)is not fit to be a leader and they (citizens) should re-elect another leader :)

Thanks for the thought provoking text!
