I'm really confused, just what do poems do?
I'm really confused, just what do poems do?What do poems do?
Are they really honest and true?
Are poems a gateway to get all your feelings out?
To invite people in and show what you're really about?
Or can you disguise your real feelings,
And give a hint, to your true meaning.
Just give them enough to ponder and think,
To come up with an idea of what you meant.
Poems have so many faces,
They can take you many places,
They can have feelings with meaning,
Or they can make you feel like your dreaming.
They can have statements or make you feel rage.
Or take you way back, down memory lane.
Poems are powerful and strong,
They make you feel like you belong.
They can bring you down and make you cry,
They can tell the truth when you want lies.
Poems are a gateway to some for peaceful bliss and union.
To others it's a great way to vent and express their opinion.
Poems are expressive words on paper, that we control and write,
So, how in the hell do they seem to have life?
