Ok a little late to the party! But as i said i am a slow man :-)

Can't get my HTML editor working so no picture i'm afraid. If you want to check it out, you will just have to pay that wonderful poet Aliena a visit.

Mine eyes - (Response to Aliena Wounded Angel Challenge)

Tell me nothing of where you take me
but pray understand only this
humanity carries the weight of my conscience
as you lead me away to the abyss.

I have flown high above the arrogance of Babel
pierced your insidious heart
my white wings have cradled your sorrow
but still you bid me depart.

The wisdom without the trial
the riches without the spoil
you sound your trumpets so loudly
mother nature left only recoil.

You have burnt mine eyes to cinder
a pious embrace so cruel
my children your tower is golden
blunt egos adorning the wall.

You have fashioned a paradise to covet
no question you'll achieve your goal
a world of forgotten spirits
empty vessels and aching souls.

So lead me away from the madness
and let me find solace and peace
I will cherish my heart and my soul

mine eyes

well those you may wish to keep!

the angel is blasting off humanity? is that the angle? hehe... i really like this one, it's got a sad but kind of angry tone to it, like disappointment... my head going as usual, i've got a whole story unfurling in my mind with your words here... strikes the imagination for me :) *hug* xx

kath
Words that are well worth waiting for .. it is beautifully written soft in its form and it a strong message ... such a suitable for an angels way of speaking ... as I would imagine at least ...

and yes humanity has its flaws ,,,, but hopefully we will keep the angels eyes and learn as we go along ... I know we will ...

thank you for a beautiful write in every sense of the word

best wishes
Katherine
