A short, simple to understand poem. I can't really explain the roots of this one. Old demons you know? Anyhoo... Yeah simple one. Kinda rinkey dink I know, it was a 3am project at one point. (laugh)

Bullet For A Skull

Once there was a man, with a bullet in his hand.
This man once had a plan,
that with time had faded away.
Now shot back within his brain,
to show that the memories remained.
careening across the carpet,
with a lack of self-respect.

If they'd have let him live,
he would have made wildest dreams come true.
Now fallen is this weekend warrior done wrong.
A mind once filled with beautiful words,
now lays in chaos across the ground.

Once there was a man, with a skull within his hand.
who said, "this man once had a plan,
that with time had faded away.
Shocked at how he was slain?
It shows that memories can pain."
This hero of our fading hour,
a hero drained of all his power.
