The human race is on a roller coaster to destruction. We need to learn from nature, particularly the bee.
If only we would listen and learn.
How secret and how precious is their lore,
like nothing that ever went before!
Ignore them at your peril,
their lives as precious
as diamond or beryl.
We cannot live without apis mellifera,
and all their cousins.
Go out you louts and litter the streets,
sweet honey-bees will still store their treats.
They'll nurture you without your knowledge,
but you are priveledged,
and go to college.
Please, when you graduate,
do remember,
the sweet honey-hive in mid December.
A whole swarm there, on the brink of life,
(I hope you are happy with your new wife.)
Build up debts and breed unregardless,
our friends the bees are guiltless and harmless.
Without their work, we would all be dead,
despite your PHD,
this goes over your head!
It's the same sad story the whole world over,
the bees love sunshine and sweet red clover.
Let's kill all the weeds with DDT,
we are Human Beings and should be free
to do what we want....tra la tra lee,
I'm such a wonderful person, ME!
