My heart beats fast and slow
All at the same time,
Fast when I look at you,
When I think of you
And when you smile back at me.
Slow when I think of me
Living my life without you,
Slow when I imagine your absence
Instead of your noticeable presence.
My heart beats more and more
When I think you have to go,
My heart may not beat anymore
If you stay away too long.
