Smiles and Salutations

Is there a smile and a salutation
that would make my breathe sprint
to catch up with my heart?
Oh, sweet love, the air does
not caress our faces tonight and the
wind is freezing my shivering tears!
Time is wasted on closing my
eyes and staring into moving patterns,
around the shape of your face, outlined,
you are but a flimsy negative;
I am fumbling in the dark
with my eyes closed to find you!
