Star fisherman

He stood there every day and every night
waiting to catch a star when they reflect
on the heavenly open blue sea

he stood there for weeks and months
every day and year after year
he learned how to sleep standing up

He eat the fish he caught . . .
drinking the rainwater
he never move many meter

But one day he caught a star
on the hook he took the star in his arms
and give the star a great hug

then he let the star go away
he only wanted to hug a star
star fisherman has now gone away

Hello starfish man Dan, where are you? I reeling you back to the Bay.
This poem is very picturesque and lonely.
Another journey to find the holy grail.

As a fisherman Dan I always try to catch the unobtainable and the improbable. I too am a dreamer, I too would love to catch my dream. I hope your fisherman will return to try to catch another. After all , it's just what dreamers do. Bravo Dan Bookmarked

Inchworm
Very sentimental and sweet, but not saccharine.

Interesting how you worked with the grammar on the section:

He eat the fish he caught . . .
drinking the rainwater
he never move many meter

It really sets off your mind, keeps you engaged in the center of the poem, where there's a risk of losing the readers' attention. Well done!

Dan, this is so sweet ... and it is a beautiful feeling ... this is what we do when we dream of nice things to happen and when they do ... we are happy and leave for another shore another dream ..... a dreamer never looses hope

well done
best wishes
