Beneath Another Sun

My missy! Let me for once and final,
Call you the rose of my shattered garden,
Standing alone amidst a mass of wilderness,
Bearing the blows of a rude gardener,
Being there, my dear! When my eyes craved love,
When my heart sank like a wounded dove.

My missy! Let me for once and final,
Kiss your hands and sing,
The last and ultimate hymn,
About two souls and their parted, tired lips,
For you always poured into my mind,
The magic of your voice, my heavenly find

My missy! Let me for once and final,
Whisper it to you that I do repent,
For all your woes and cries that went unfelt,
And the denial of your feelings and things unsaid,
For what I did, I never knew,
Till all the moments that mattered escaped and flew.

My missy! Let me for once and final,
Say goodbye to you and part,
Into the unchartered seas of life,
Where I will remember you with all my might,
For together we could never be one,
Maybe we will, on another day, beneath another sun!
