Poetry of Spring

the honey flows
while roosters crow
the cows graze and bellow
the tractor tows
the seeds to sow
for harvest in Fall's morrow

the farmer hoes
the thrashers mow
grain for winter's shadow
children wallow
'neath the willows
sheets dry in winds and billow

laughter echoes
'cross the hollows
In lily vales, yellow
smiles aglow
a nature show
for all wand'ring fellows

baby sparrows
feathers grow
on their bodies narrow
life is now
as fattened sow
gives birth to hungry farrow

moutains' white snow
melting to flow
flooding streams once shallow
green grass grows
feeding the does
and fawns in Springtime meadows

Zoya Zaidi
Your poetry flows,
Hope follows,
As I wallow
in the fragrant breeze that blows-
My mood mallows...

((Hugs for the melodious piece, Kathy)))
