Social Insecurity
Many years ago
Franklin Delano
Hoped to secure our future aging masses
By embarking on a plan
To aid the working man
No longer in the realm of working classes
He figured out a way
To make each worker pay
A small percentage from his working wage
He believed his plan effective
In reaching his objective
Safeguarding those who reach their golden age
Growth of our aging population
Plus governmental misappropriations
Drained the fund of its well intentioned purity
This is how it came to pass
That every working lad and lass
Is laden now with social insecurity
