After reading "Starfish" by Peter Humphreys and then reading my comment on it, this appeared. I can't make up my mind about this one.

Cling

The pollutant-dying starfish on the beach,
Life's rescue just out of reach:
The planet's hand,
In the planet's sand.

Short and to the point-it is amazing how in such few words you express something so big. A poem that really made me think.

It makes you just stop and think. And feel sad about where we're headed.

Peter Humphreys The PoetBay support member heart!
Or at least in the hands of those that dominate (or think we do) the planet. The starfish in my poem, by chance, was storm battered, but I wonder now if I wandered that beach if pollution would leave me any at all to rescue? As usual, Mark, you have me thinking. Thank you.
