Only the seagulls knew the answer.

One Week from Tomorrow.

I.

"Every grain of sand represents
A time that I will never get to say I love you."

II.

He tells her that he will be with her forever--
But she knows that forever
is only as good as one week from tomorrow

And she is afraid.

III.

And when Forever came,
She let go of the lifeline cobwebbed into her palm
And wrapped herself in water:

She had no other questions than
How many grains of sand are there in the world?
and
How long did it take to drown in the ocean between his lips?

Inked are thy emotions,
On the sands of Time,
The time will go on,
But, thy words shall remain,
Seagulls may not have the answer,
But Time will have an answer,
These words have the quality,
To go down in time...

"lifeline cobwebbed into her palm"
-love the expression!

(((hugs)))little one!

...reminds me of the promises we so oft make just to catch but a glimpse of what we so longingly crave, just to satisfy the moment without giving thought to the recipients uncontrolled vulnerability. so very nasty, but the piece is a true expression of reality...

I'm favouriting this. This is so cold in passion, and truth. Cold - and never warm. Never to be wrapt up until the grains of rice or the grains of sand are counted...

Good.
