Losing touch

Losing touch with reality
as the ground slips from beneath
my feet
and I'm lost to vertigo
over the heights and lows of my life.

Losing touch as my pen races over the paper
trying to say so much and all
at once
and yet not a meaning comes out
as loss overwhelms me.
