Fear holds us back so often it's scary - fear of being hurt, of losing.


Shining pieces

She was afraid.
Afraid of giving way.
Giving way to him and his arms.
His arms that were holding her so tenderly.
So tenderly she though her heart would break.
Break into a thousand pieces.
Pieces that would shine on the floor.
A floor of marble and glass.
Glass and the mirror she was staring into.
Staring at without getting an answer.
